Neil R. Peplinski, CFA Managing Partner, worked as a portfolio manager for Allstate Investments overseeing a $400 million portfolio of collateralized debt obligations. Neil earned his MBA with High Honors from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He also holds a MSEE in Electromagnetics from The University of Michigan, and a BSEE in Electromagnetics from Michigan Technological University where he graduated summa cum laude.
Paul R. Ingersoll, Managing Partner, co-founded NES, a business services company grown from start-up to over $700 Million in revenue. Paul led the M&A and capital raising efforts that resulted in 47 separate acquisitions and raised in excess of $1.2 billion. Paul earned his MBA with Honors from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He also holds a BS in Economics and French from The University of Michigan.
Marcus R. Franklin, Partner, has extensive financial services industry experience managing high net worth relationships at UBS, intermediary relationships at Deutsche Bank and institutional relationships at Morgan Stanley. Marcus earned his MBA from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He also holds a BA in Economics and Biology from Lake Forest College.
Yash Patel, CFA Director, worked as a quantitative equity analyst for Allstate Investments developing and implementing model driven trading strategies. Prior to Allstate, he worked as an account management associate for Bridgewater Associates. Yash earned his MBA with Honors from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He also holds a BS in Computer Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University.
Thomas Hines, CPA, CFA Executive Vice President, was a financial planning partner at Ernst & Young as well as the National Director of Financial Planning at The Northern Trust Company and a First Vice President in The Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch. Tom holds a BS in Accounting from Marquette University. He also holds a Master's degree in Taxation from the University of Wisconsin. He is a member of AICPA, AIMR and the Chicago Investment Analysts Society.
Jeffrey H. Kim is the lead portfolio manager for the Tactical Equity Income strategy and is responsible for its day-to-day portfolio management including scenario testing, operations and trading. Prior to joining Good Harbor Financial he was a portfolio manager at Chicago Capital Partners. Jeffrey earned his MBA from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. He also holds a MS in Engineering Systems from The Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BSEE from Northwestern University.
David Armstrong is a member of Good Harbor's investment team as a Portfolio Manager. His primary responsibilities are focused on working with advisory firms and investors to understand tactical asset allocation as they assess Good Harbor and its investment strategies. With 27 years of professional experience, David's previous companies include Honeywell, RR Donnelley, and Oracle. Prior to Good Harbor he was the Director of Research assisting financial services companies to analyze the nature and structure of competition in the credit card market. He earned his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts from Knox College.
